Nepal Film Campus was established by award-winning film professionals and experienced academicians. Its four-year Bachelor's Degree in Film Studies (BFS) is affiliated to Tribhuvan University.
Acting
An acting career reaches beyond movies. Performers also work in theatre, television, commercials and live attractions. Early roles may be small, and many actors combine several kinds of work while building experience.
Auditions, rehearsals and travel are routine parts of the profession. Competition is strong, and performers need both persistence and the ability to respond to rejection.
At Nepal Film Campus, students build practical acting skills while exploring the craft, responsibilities and opportunities of performance. The campus supports them as they develop their own approach.

Cinematography
Students study camera movement, placement, composition and lighting while working with professional equipment. Each of these decisions helps determine how a story looks and feels on screen.
The course introduces current technology and visual storytelling methods from world cinema. Students learn how a director of photography works with camera and lighting crews to establish the look, color and framing of a film. They also gain hands-on experience behind the camera and in the editing suite while bringing their own productions to life.

Direction & Screen Writing
Cinematography + Setting + Blocking + Acting + Editing = Directing.
Directing brings together cinematography, setting, blocking, acting and editing. The director is responsible for the overall creative direction of a film and guides the audience toward a particular view of its story.
Students learn to oversee the artistic and technical parts of production. The course develops screenwriting and visual storytelling skills, including the use of images to carry a film's narrative.

Sound
Sound is essential to the experience of a film. Dialogue, music, effects and ambience establish characters, place and emotion, while editing brings these elements into a coherent whole.
The sound major examines how audio strengthens a story. Students learn to produce, design and synchronize sound professionally, from the first recording through the finished soundtrack.

Editing
Editors rearrange footage, shape transitions and combine picture with sound to tell a story. Their work is needed in film, television, corporate production and post-production, whether as part of a team or as independent professionals.
Nepal Film Campus welcomes students to major in editing and explore how images and sounds create meaning and emotional connection. Editing is where separate shots become a complete experience for an audience.
